Dictation for Netflix

Chrome extension

Plenty of extensions help you read subtitles. This one does the opposite.

It hides them, plays one line at a time, and asks you to type what you heard. Then it tells you what you missed.

Not yet — 1 wrong · 1 missing function word ×1 contraction ×1

What makes it different

It tells you what you missed Not just “wrong”. Your mistakes are sorted into contractions (would've), function words (a / the / of), endings (-s, -ed) and vocabulary — so you can see which kind of sound keeps slipping past you.
Hints come one letter at a time Stuck on a word? Each press fills in one more letter, from the start. Miss the same word twice and the answer opens underneath it.
You are never stuck If you really cannot hear it, move on. Skipped lines still count toward your diagnosis.
It adds up The more you use it, the clearer the picture gets. The session report shows your patterns over time and the words you miss most often.
